Trisha Kanyamarala

Tarun Kanyamarala
CEO, Co-Founder
Tarun Kanyamarala is a Chess International Master (IM). He won the Irish Championship in 2022 and is the youngest International Master in Irish chess history. He made his Olympiad debut in 2022 and has proudly represented Ireland in two Chess Olympiads.
Tarun has won several tournaments across Ireland and continues to compete at the highest level nationally and internationally. His goal is to become Ireland’s first-ever homegrown Chess Grandmaster and to help establish chess as a widely recognised sport in Ireland.
Through ICTL, Tarun aims to develop innovative tech solutions using advanced technologies to modernise and grow the game.
Trisha Kanyamarala is Ireland’s first Woman Grandmaster (WGM). She won the Irish Women’s Championship in 2022 and has proudly represented Ireland in two Chess Olympiads, leading the national team on Board 1 and competing against the strongest players from around the world.
Through her involvement with ICTL, she aims to inspire and empower girls to embrace the game of chess, build confidence, and realise their full potential. With determination, resilience, and a deep passion for the game, Trisha continues to strive for excellence while working to elevate chess as a widely recognised sport in Ireland.
